Lewis and Madge leather was officially launched in 2015. We knew we wanted a strong name that really meant something special. My mom is very creative and so was Carin’s mom.

We decided to name our business after my Grandmother, Madge Lewis.

Our name is in honour of all mothers and grandmothers who have passed their creative genes to their children. The painted piano in our Riebeek Store belonged to Grandma Madge.

As a further tribute most of our ladies handbags are named after the exceptional women in our families.
